Mission has long been a vital part of the First Baptist Church community. Whether we're making quilts and blankets for survivors of local disasters or we're filling Christmas shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, we are always trying to help those less fortunate -- showing them Christ's love through our actions.
Over the years we have supplied blankets and personal care kits to the victims of the Sevier County Fires of 2016. We have sent thousands of shoeboxes to other countries via Samaritan's Purse's Operation Christmas Child. We routinely provide assistance for food and gas to those passing through our area.
We are blessed with the opportunity to minister to thousands of people as they come to visit Pigeon Forge and the Smokies. Many regular visitors to this area, worship with us whenever they are in town. They have become part of our church family although they live far away.
