International Missions

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.

Matthew 28:19

Mission has always held a special place in the heart of the First Baptist Church community. Our commitment to helping those in need is reflected in the quilts and blankets we create for survivors of local disasters and the Christmas shoeboxes we fill for Operation Christmas Child. Additionally, we offer food and gas assistance to those passing through our area, recognizing that sometimes even a small act of kindness can make a big difference. It is truly a blessing for us to minister to thousands of people who visit Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains.

Kicking Off the Lottie Moon Week of Prayer

November 30–December 7
Each year, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering Week of Prayer helps us refocus our hearts on God’s global mission. As we begin this special week, we join with churches across the nation to pray for the missionaries who serve through the International Mission Board (IMB)—men and women who share the hope of Jesus in places many of us will never go.
This week is a wonderful opportunity to involve the next generation:
👨‍👩‍👧 Pray together as a family each day for a featured missionary.
🗺️ Find the country on a map and learn about the people who live there.
📖 Read stories or watch IMB videos that show how lives are being changed by the gospel.
💛 Give together to the Lottie Moon Offering—let children contribute a small gift or earn money through acts of kindness.
As we pray, learn, and give, we’re helping children and teens understand that they are part of God’s great story—sharing His love to the ends of the earth.

Rod Run Outreach

During the Pigeon Forge Rod Run, FBC members greet visitors with a smile and complimentary water bottle each spring and fall. Donations from the parking lot go to the Annie Armstrong and Lottie Moon offerings and to support local missions.

Our prayer team manages the prayer station, offering prayer time with visitors, a free hotdog, and a smile.
