Stay connected!

“Connecting with others gives us a sense of inclusion, connection, interaction, safety, and community. Your vibe attracts your tribe, so if you want to attract positive and healthy relationships, be one! Staying connected and getting reconnected feeds the flow of goodness which empowers our humanity.”

Why Church Social Media Matters
(and How You Can Be Part of It

Church doesn’t just happen on Sunday mornings anymore—and that’s a good thing.
Through social media and our website, First Baptist Church–Pigeon Forge stays connected throughout the week with members, friends, and our wider community. Whether you’re scrolling Facebook, watching a video on YouTube, or reading a blog post, these platforms help us extend the life of our worship, our fellowship, and our mission far beyond the church walls.

A Digital Front Porch for Our Church

Think of our social media pages as a digital front porch—a place where people can stop by, see what’s going on, and feel welcomed. Across Facebook, Instagram, X, Pinterest, YouTube, our blog, and our website, we share:

  • Updates about worship services and schedule changes
  • Invitations to pray for one another and share needs
  • Encouragement, Scripture, and reflections from church life
  • Information about ministries, events, and community services
  • Videos of worship, messages, and special moments

For many people, a church’s online presence is their first introduction to the congregation. A friendly comment, a thoughtful response, or even a simple “like” helps show that we are an active, caring church family.

Why Your Engagement Makes a Difference

When you read, comment, share, or respond on our platforms, you’re doing more than interacting with a post—you’re helping spread encouragement and connection.

  • Comments build community. A kind word or prayer lets others know they’re not alone.
  • Engagement extends our reach. Social media platforms show posts to more people when others interact with them.
  • Online conversations invite newcomers. Visitors often read comments to get a sense of a church’s spirit and hospitality.

You don’t have to say something profound. A short “Praying,” “Amen,” or “So grateful for our church” goes a long way.

Staying Connected During the Week

Life gets busy, weather happens, and schedules change—but social media helps us stay connected no matter what. It’s a place to:

  • Keep up with church news between Sundays
  • Join prayer conversations in real time
  • Stay informed about local resources and services
  • Celebrate what God is doing in and through our church

In many ways, these platforms allow us to continue being the church every day of the week.

An Invitation to Join the Conversation

If you’re already following us—thank you! We invite you to take one small next step: read, comment, and engage with our posts. If you’re not connected yet, we’d love for you to join us on the platforms you use most.

Together, we can use these tools to encourage one another, welcome new friends, and share the hope and love of Christ—both in person and online.

Let’s stay connected.

What platform do you use most to keep connected to First Baptist?

Are there others that you wish to see us use?
