Why pack a shoebox? What's the point?

At first glance, a shoebox filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items might not seem like a big deal. But in the hands of God, it becomes so much more:
It Reaches the Ends of the Earth
Each shoebox is delivered to children in over 100 countries, including some of the hardest-to-reach places. For many, this is the first gift they’ve ever received.
It Shares the Love of Christ
Every box is a tangible expression of God’s love. Along with the gifts, children hear the Good News of Jesus in their own language through local church partners.
It Plants Seeds for Eternity
Shoeboxes often lead to children joining “The Greatest Journey,” a 12-lesson discipleship course offered by Samaritan’s Purse. Through this, whole families and even communities are transformed by the Gospel.
It’s Personal
Your box carries not just items, but love. Including a letter or photo tells a child: You matter. You are loved. You are not forgotten.
Scripture Reminder
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” – Matthew 19:14
The “big deal” is this:

Packing a shoebox is a simple act with eternal impact. You’re not just sending gifts—you’re sending hope, joy, and the message of salvation to a child who may never have heard it otherwise.
