Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes are here!

Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are stacked up on the sanctuary stage. Get one this Sunday. Get TWO! Have fun filling the boxes with WOW! toys, personal hygiene items, and more. Packing list ideas are situated on the stage by the boxes.

NOTE: No soap is allowed because of some countries' policies at customs.

Ways to Participate in Operation Christmas Child

This year you can pack a shoebox at home or you can build a shoebox online. Scan the QR code to go to our online goal page.

Other churches and groups have dozens of ideas for your Operation Christmas Child shoebox. There are all kinds of suggestions for items, how to decorate the inside of the box, write notes or cards, etc. Check out links via our Pinterest page.

10x25 Project

We have raised nearly $7,075 for the 10x25 Project!!! But don't stop now!

Remember, the missions team will continue to purchase food for these bags throughout the school year. If they receive funds from YOU, that frees up the Rod Run income for other local ministries.
$10 will supply a child with a weekend's worth of food.
$250 will help feed 25 children.
To support the project financially, you can give to the 10x25 Project at any time. Please write "10x25 Project" on your check's memo line. To give online, simply select the 10x25 Project option from the drop-down menu of funds.

Golden Offering for TN Missions Update

In September, the TN Baptist Mission Board (TBMB) puts an emphasis on the Golden Offering for Tennessee Mission. This is a year-round offering, but September's focus is on prayer and informing church congregations the importance of giving to this important ministry.
First Baptist Church set a goal of $1,000 for the offering this September. To date, we have received over half of that ($820). We will continue to collect funds for this special offering throughout the year.
