The Fall Pigeon Forge Rod Run was a HUGE event!

What a weekend!!!! THOUSANDS of car enthusiasts came to town to show off their cars and trucks or to see what others brought.

By Wednesday evening, Kevin W., John F., and the parking team had our parking lot set up and ready to go for those who want to display their cars in front of the church. The back lot was ready for visitors. The prayer tent was set up in front, as well.

And, boy, did they come!

The parking lot was full nearly all weekend. People stopped by the prayer tent asking for prayer for the Charlie Kirk family, our nation, and concerns they had for their own families. We ran out of hotdogs and water bottles.

And they kept coming!

Folks were also very generous in their donations to our mission projects. Funds donated for the parking spots -- both permanent and temporary -- and for snacks and water came to....

Drumroll, please!

A Word about Giving

from Wendy Freels, Financial Administrator
As we approach the final quarter of 2025, it’s important for you to know where we stand financially as a church family. While giving often increases during the holiday season and at year-end, here’s where things stand as of Sunday, September 14:

  • 2025 Undesignated Offering to date: $286,238.93
  • 2025 Budgeted to date: $380,119.27

Some may wonder about the balance we hold in various accounts. While our total funds are just over $873,000, the majority is designated or tied up in CDs and long-term accounts. What is readily available for day-to-day ministry is much smaller.

Why share this? Because as we plan for 2026—with new ministry opportunities, potential staff hires, and rising expenses—it is vital that giving remains a priority for all of us. Scripture reminds us that “the tithe…is the Lord’s: it is holy unto the Lord” (Leviticus 27:30), and Paul encourages us to give “not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7).

Tithing is more than finances—it’s also about our time, our talents, and our hearts for God’s work in this community. Pastor Terry will be addressing these themes in his October sermon series.

Thank you for the many ways you give, serve, and pray for our church. Together, we can meet these challenges and look forward with faith to what God has in store for 2026!

The Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions collection continues

“Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel.”  –Philippians 1:27
The Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions (GOTM) and Cooperative Program
(CP) provide resources that support missions and ministries of the
Tennessee Baptist Mission Board.

GOTM began in 1902 and is named in honor of Dr. & Mrs. W.C. Golden. CP
