Lifeway offers free Bible Reading Plans and Family Time calendars

From Lifeway.com, March 14, 2025
In 2025, we’re continuing to read through the Bible for greater understanding and comprehension. This approach helps us to see how all sixty-six books of the Bible work together to spotlight the one true story of God’s great love for us and our redemption through Jesus.
We’ll be starting year three of our three-year Know His Word plan—perfect for women with busy lives! While this may seem long, it avoids the trap of biting off more than you can chew and feeling discouraged when you fall behind. (We’ve all been there!)
We’re in it for the long haul. This plan focuses on the journey of reading through God’s Word and allows for more prayer and reflection.
Here are a few tips for building a habit of staying in the Word this year and beyond:

Here are a few tips for building a habit of staying in the Word this year and beyond:
- Choose a specific time and place for your reading until your habit is well established.
- Don’t beat yourself up if you miss a few days! Simply set aside time to get cozy and get caught up.
- Read along with a close friend and share what God is teaching each of you through the passages.
- Follow along on the Lifeway Women app to connect with other women as you study God’s Word.

FBC raises funds for missions during Pigeon Forge Spring Rod Run

First Baptist Church, in the spirit of community and shared mission, seizes the opportunity to raise money for missions during the Pigeon Forge Rod Runs each spring and fall. While there are other events -- Ponies' Run (Mustangs), Jeep Week, and more -- FBC focuses on the two significant events, uniting us all in our common goal.
Our dedicated volunteers play a crucial role in our fundraising efforts. They hand out water bottles, pray with and for Rod Run-goers, give away hotdogs, and provide parking spaces for hot rod owners as well as visitors. The water bottles and hotdogs are free, and guests give a small donation to missions for parking their cars. Hot rod owners pay a bit more to leave their cars in view at the front of the parking lot, and trailer owners do the same to park behind the church office.
Since 2021, FBC has raised over $55,000 to use for local mission projects and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions. These funds are used to support Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries, the Sevier County Food Ministry, Grace Fellowship (a church leadership training organization), and more. The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering supports missionaries and church planters throughout North America.
